You’ll earn 2x points on all purchases, and reward points can be deposited in up to five different Fidelity accounts. However, if you’d prefer more flexible redemption options, you should consider other alternatives instead.

The Fidelity credit card offers a generous rewards program with unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases. For cardholders who don’t like keeping track of rotating bonus categories or quarterly caps, the simplicity of Fidelity’s rewards program can be a welcome relief.
The bad news is those cash back rewards lose value unless they’re deposited in an eligible Fidelity account, which includes brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, 529 college savings plans, and health savings accounts. If you choose to redeem rewards for travel, merchandise, gift cards, or a statement credit, you essentially cut the value of your rewards in half.
The Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature card provides access to 24-hour concierge service through Visa Signature Concierge. This means you can get help booking trips or getting tickets to entertainment and sporting events. You’ll also enjoy travel and emergency assistance services such as lost luggage reimbursement, travel accident insurance, and roadside assistance.
Fidelity cardholders may also be eligible for special offers at premium retailers, as well as discounts on hotels and transportation when they book through the Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection.

The Fidelity Rewards card’s unlimited 2x rewards program is simpler than cards that offer bonus points on certain types of spending. But if boosting your retirement contributions isn’t a priority for you right now, you might be better off with other cash back cards that offer more ways to redeem.
Like the Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature card, the Citi Double Cash card offers 2% cash back on all purchases — 1% at the time of purchase and 1% when the purchase is paid off. Fidelity, on the other hand, gives you your full 2% cash back all at once.
However, the Citi Double Cash card does have something Fidelity doesn’t: a 0% introductory APR on balance transfers for up to 18 months, which could be useful if you have high-interest credit card debt you’d like to pay off without incurring more interest charges.
Neither card charges an annual fee, and both aim to make using rewards points simple for cardholders. But if you want to redeem rewards for anything other than investment account deposits, Citi is the way to go — even if it isn’t as flashy as some other cash back cards when it comes to bonuses or added perks.
