AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department identified the suspect who was allegedly involved in a June shooting on South Pleasant Valley Road that left two people dead and one injured.
APD said Hector Olvera, 37, is facing capital murder charges in connection with the shooting. According to online jail records, Olvera is being held in the Travis County Jail on a bond of more than $1 million on several different charges.
KXAN is working to reach out to an attorney representing Olvera to request a comment. We will update this story when we receive a response.
The shooting happened on Wednesday, June 26 in the 2300 block of South Pleasant Valley Road, near the intersection of Willow Hill Drive.
APD said multiple calls came in at approximately 11:30 p.m. regarding several shots being fired and people screaming.
Three victims were on the scene when police arrived. One of them was pronounced dead on the scene, and another died at a hospital. The third victim had non-life-threatening injuries, according to APD.
Police identified the victims as Ricardo Martinez, 39, and Aldo Edgar Romero-Milan, 30.
