AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin-Travis County EMS said one person was hurt Tuesday night after colliding with ATCEMS' Community Health Paramedic unit near the intersection of Foster Avenue and Deep Eddy Avenue.
ATCEMS said CHP immediately stopped to render aid and call for an ambulance. The pedestrian was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, but not expected to be life-threatening injuries.
CHP units are administrative vehicles and are smaller SUV's, they traditionally assist in community outreach programs, according to ATCEMS.
The Austin Police Department is investigating the incident, and ATCEMS is conducting an internal investigation which is standard protocol for ATCEMS vehicles involved in collisions with injuries.
