Police investigate southeast Topeka shooting
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Police are investigating reports of a shooting in southeast Topeka Monday afternoon.
A 27 News reporter said that police tape can be seen on Nov. 10 surrounding a residence in the 3500 block of Southeast Dupont Place. A witness to the incident said three people were fighting in the front yard of a nearby residence around 3:15 p.m. in the afternoon. The witness said he heard a gunshot and spotted one of the individuals injured while the other two left the area.
City of Topeka spokeswoman Kimberly Qualls said police are in the area investigating the incident. Law enforcement is working on an update regarding the shooting.
