MAYETTA (KSNT) - County music star Ricky Skaggs is set to perform live in Mayetta at a local casino early in 2025 with tickets going on sale in October.
Prairie Band Casino & Resort announced on its website that Ricky Skaggs is due to perform in its Great Lakes Ballroom at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 next year. Tickets for the show go on sale starting at $50 on Friday, Oct. 25.
Skaggs got his start playing bluegrass music and specializes in using the mandolin, according to his biography. Alongside his friend Keith Whitley, Skaggs entered the professional musical world in 1971, gaining experience with the band of bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley.
Billboard, a music ranking website, shows that Skaggs has six songs in its Hot 200 list including "Waitin' For The Sun To Shine," "Highways And Heartaches" and "Country Boy." Skaggs has multiple albums that you can browse through by clicking here.
