LAWRENCE (KSNT) - One of the newer additions to Kansas men's basketball's roster is expected to miss time at the start of the season.
Shakeel Moore, a 6-foot-1 transfer guard from Mississippi State, broke his foot in a pickup game, KU Athletics confirmed Monday. Moore could miss up to eight weeks, according to multiple reports.
Moore was added to Bill Self's squad shortly after returning guard Elmarko Jackson suffered a season-ending injury during a team scrimmage in June. Moore averaged 7.9 points on 46.8% shooting in 2023-24.
KU opens its season against Howard on Nov. 4.
