ATCHISON COUNTY (KSNT) - An Oskaloosa man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Atchison County on Tuesday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) lists in one of its crash logs the incident occurred just before 10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 159 about one mile north of Muscotah. A Yamaha motorcycle was traveling south on the highway when, for an unknown reason, it lost control and went into the west ditch.
The rider of the motorcycle, identified as Antone L. Artman, 65, of Oskaloosa, was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a Topeka hospital where he was later declared dead in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 7.
