TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center is inviting locals to take advantage of a hot deal this week as temperatures soar.
The zoo posted to social media Monday, June 24 saying guests can head over and take advantage of an "adverse weather discount." This is $2 off each ticket at the admissions gate for the day.
During this time, some zoo animals are being moved indoors to keep them out of the heat and may not be viewable. Animals which are adapted to this heat are being given the option of staying outside or moving indoors.
The zoo encourages those who show up and brave the heat to drink plenty of water, pay attention to the signs of heat exhaustion and use air conditioned spaces whenever needed. You can keep up with the latest heat advisories and warnings on our website by clicking here.
