The leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam announced that within three to four months, the “Islamic Emirate” will rule over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Fazl-ur-Rehman stated in the National Assembly of Pakistan that the Taliban will take over North and South Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and other areas.
The leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam criticized the “Operation Resolve” military operations during his speech in the National Assembly on Wednesday, June 26th; the country’s prime minister and interior minister, Shahbaz Sharif, also attended this session.
This Pakistani cleric stated, “The decision of military operations against semi-regulars is a move towards instability.”
He has opposed terrorism since 2010 and emphasizes that terrorism has not only decreased but also increased.
This Taliban sympathizer claims that Pakistan is conducting military operations to please China.
Following his 2024 election defeat, Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader has intensified criticism of the government and military. Fazl-ur-Rehman aligns with Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to pressure Shahbaz Sharif’s cabinet, opposing Operation Resolve against the Pakistani Taliban.
Since August 2021, Pakistan has witnessed increased activities by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in various regions, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The TTP has conducted numerous attacks targeting security forces, government installations, and civilians, escalating security concerns.
Militant groups affiliated with TTP have carried out multiple bombings and ambushes, destabilizing the region. The Pakistani military has intensified operations to counter these threats, resulting in clashes and casualties on both sides.
