SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — A 50-year-old murder suspect who was arrested in Arkansas in connection to three murders across two Oklahoma counties is now facing additional charges.
On June 20, Stacy Lee Drake was arrested in Morrilton, Ark., after being identified as a person of interest in a Sequoyah County double murder case two days prior.
Shortly after his arrest in Arkansas, Drake was booked into the Sequoyah County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Tara Underwood, 35, and Taylor Sharp, 30, in addition to one count of robbery for allegedly stealing Underwood's car.
Drake is also accused of murdering 56-year-old Phillip Emerson, who was found dead in Canadian County on June 14.
On August 7, the District 27 District Attorney's Office filed a third first-degree murder charge against Drake for his suspected role in Emerson's death, two additional counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon for allegedly stealing Emerson's car and Sharp's wallet, one count of possession of a stolen vehicle and one count of pattern of criminal offenses.
Drake has previously served time in prison after being convicted in Arizona and Alabama.
The date for Drake's initial court appearance is currently unknown.
