A man has been arrested following a deadly stabbing on Friday.
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A man has been arrested following a deadly stabbing on Friday.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the incident happened near NW 23rd St. and MacArthur Blvd. around 5 p.m.
Officials say officers responded to reports of a stabbing in that intersection. Upon arrival, a they found a man dead at the scene.
Investigators discovered that two men were fighting near the road when one of them, 28-year-old William Avila, took out a knife and stabbed the other to death.
According to OKCPD, Avila left the scene on foot but was found and arrested a short time later. He was taken to a nearby hospital and will be booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint once he is released.
