A new interactive Christmas experience is opening at a Kent shopping centre, taking visitors on a magical journey to the North Pole.
The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Adventure is making its global debut at Bluewater, in Greenhithe, this month, combining theatrical elements, immersive activities and festive storytelling.
The experience, created by the Lumistella Company, will start with visitors stepping through an 11ft high elf door and being transported to a wintery world with snowballs, Christmas trees and Santa’s helpers.
The elves will guide families through activities and challenges, including discovering your own elf name, measuring the ‘Christmas Spiritmeter’ and hanging up decorations.
There will also be a visit from Father Christmas and children will get a gift to take home.
James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, said: “Tickets are already selling fast, with some sessions now completely sold out, and we urge families to book their visits sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. This is the most hotly-anticipated Christmas experience we’ve ever launched – it’s a true world-first experience.”
The experience is located on the Upper Rose Gallery and runs from Saturday, November 16 until Christmas Eve. Tickets start from £6.50 for adults and £14.50 for children and can be booked online here.
Shoppers can also visit Bluewater’s Winterland, with funfair rides, food and drink stalls and the 40-metre-high Observation Wheel, and the undercover ice rink, both located outside the Village, near Zizzi’s.
Winterland returns for another year from Saturday, November 9, while the ice rink will be open from Tuesday, November 12.
