Amy Madigan Wins Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, Makes Touching Comments About Husband Ed Harris in Speech
Amy Madigan is officially an Oscar winner!
The 75-year-old actress took home the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 15) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Amy won the prize for her role as Aunt Gladys in the horror movie. She beat out Sentimental Value actresses Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Sinners‘ Wunmi Mosaku, and One Battle After Another‘s Teyana Taylor.
During her speech, Amy called out the Oscars for telling nominees to not list out names as people don’t want to hear them. She noted how important they are to getting movies made!
Amy also made touching comments about her husband Ed Harris.

“Most of all, I want to thank my beautiful daughter, Lily, her husband, Sean. And, of course, all the dogs. But the most important is my beloved Ed. You’ve been with me forever. And that’s a long-ass time, and none of this would mean anything if he wasn’t by my side,” she said.
