Melissa Fumero Joins Matthew Gray Gubler in New CBS Dramedy Series 'Einstein'
Melissa Fumero has booked her next TV role!
On Thursday (March 5), it was announced that the 43-year-old Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress will be starring opposite previously announced lead Matthew Gray Gubler in CBS‘ new dramedy series Einstein.
In the new series, Matthew, 45, plays Lewis Einstein, the “brilliant but directionless great-grandson” of Albert Einstein, per Variety.
Keep reading to find out more…According to the official logline, “Lewis spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective solve her most puzzling cases.”
Melissa will be playing Teri, a detective inspector for the New Jersey state police.
“Sharp and disciplined, Teri demands a lot from her colleagues and even more from herself, and feels conflicted about working with Professor Einstein,” according to the character description.
Einstein began production earlier this month and will air as part of CBS’ 2026-2027 broadcast season.
