Ashley Tisdale to Star in New CBS Comedy Series About Divorced Empty Nesters
Ashley Tisdale is setting her return to television in a new CBS comedy series.
The 40-year-old High School Musical actress will be starring in a new multi-camera comedy show at CBS that is about divorced empty nesters.
The new show, You’re Only Young Twice, is being executive produced by Ashley and written by That 90′s Show‘s Tommy Johnagin.
Deadline reports that the series “centers on Emily (Tisdale) and Alex who got pregnant and married in high school but now they’re thirty-five and their kid is starting college. That means they can get divorced and start life all over again while they’re still young enough to enjoy it. Newly divorced empty nesters, they stumble through dating, co-parenting, and maybe a second chance at love.”
The last time Ashley appeared in a live-action project was the 2020 CBS series Carol’s Second Act, which ran for one season.
Ashley‘s personal life has been making a lot of headlines because of her essay about toxic moms.
