Sharna Burgess Explains Why the 'DWTS' Cast Always Seem to Be Dating One Another

Sharna Burgess is explaining why Dancing with the Stars co-stars might appear to always date one another.

Indeed, if you look back on the dating history from the show, there are a lot of couples who form. In addition, there are several pro dancers who are coupled up, married, or divorced.

Now, Sharna, who is a former pro on the show, is explaining why.

She shared on the “Between Us Moms” podcast, “Dancing with the Stars is so consuming, right? We are there constantly, so naturally, we are each other’s tribe. Naturally, when birthdays come up, we’re leaving a rehearsal, we’re all at each other’s birthdays, like, we are just in each other’s lives all the time. Especially when, think about when it was two seasons a year, and a tour in between. There was no time without each other. That’s why everyone dated each other.”

She added, “Like, who else were you gonna meet, you know? And that worked out beautifully for so many people…So while I’m still connected to an absolutely love everybody there, and when I see them, it’s like, oh my god, the realest of hugs with the big squeeze, and like, tell me about your life, I miss you, what’s happening, I’m so sorry I missed little one’s birthday, like, whatever it is, we catch up. It’s not the same, because I don’t see them every day, so they are no longer necessarily my tribe.”

She continued, “Peta obviously still is…But my circle shifted to people that are closer to home, and people from the school, and… You know that more in my world of every day, because… that’s kind of easier, right? I’m not trying to… balance schedules with someone in between their rehearsal, and my schedule, and this and that. It just got impossible after a while. So, it’s not that my tribe shifted because there was love lost…It was…schedules and proximity and everything changed, and both of our lives are so wholly consuming That we just have to get together when we can.”
