SZA Shares Honest Reaction to Cher's Luther Vandross Mess Up Moment at Grammys 2026
SZA is sharing her reaction to Cher‘s slightly confused announcement of the Record of the Year.
During the final moments of the 2026 Grammys, the 79-year-old music icon was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award, but walked off the stage early, forgetting to present the winner for Record of the Year.
The award went to the song “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, but Cher accidentally thought the award went to Luther Vandross, who actually died back in 2005.
The song is actually a tribute to the late star, so it isn’t that far off!

SZA spoke out during an interview with Entertainment Tonight about the mix-up.
