A$AP Rocky Says His Son Snitched on Him to Mom Rihanna

The 37-year-old Don’t Be Dumb rapper got candid in conversation with Esquire, out now.
During the conversation, he spoke about becoming a father, family and fame, what his life is like now, working out, his career, and his relationship with Rihanna.

On being a father:
“I wanted to be a dad before I got with my girl. I wanted a little baby girl or boy, whatever God gave, and God blessed me with three.”
On family and fame, and having family uptown in New York that he visits in disguise:
“I don’t like to floss when I go up there and s–t like that. Not saying that I’m flossing, but you know, my lifestyle is very, like, fortunate. So I don’t like throwing that…rubbing that in less fortunate people face, man. It’s very important. Humility, man. Humanity. You know, just being humble, for the most part. It’s so easy to get gassed off this s–t.”
On adulting and his workout music:
“I don’t even go to clubs, man. I go to f–king jazz bars and s–t like that…I got motherf–king Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Coltrane, of course, Dizzy Gillespie, and f–king Alice Coltrane.”
On his career:
“I never wanted to be anything other than a rapper.”
On his kids:
“Man, I miss my kids…Rza’s finally starting to stick up for hisself again, because Rza used to bully the s–t out of Riot when Riot couldn’t walk and talk. Now Riot go take that boy book from him, take his pacifier.”
“Rza don’t be talking. That’s Riot. He can’t stop running his mouth.”
On how his boy snitched on him to Rihanna when he left the house without telling her:
“He was like, ‘Dada left. Dada left through the door.’ She told me, ‘You left?’ I’m like, Yeah, why? She like, ‘Because our son told me you left. It’d been nice to say goodbye.’”
On wearing matching pajamas for Christmas, but the pictures won’t go public because he thinks it’s cringe:
“That ain’t me. [The kids] gone know the difference. Ma dukes got to get thrown under the bus.”
