A$AP Rocky Reveals Who Encouraged Him & Rihanna to Date
A$AP Rocky is gushing over his romance with Rihanna!
After being friends for years, the famous couple, both 37, officially went public with their relationship in 2021 and have since gone on to welcome three children – sons RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and daughter Rocki, who is just 3 months old.
In a new interview, A$AP Rocky revealed who encouraged him to pursue a romantic relationship with Rihanna.

My mother used to say s–t like, ‘I know you like this girl that you with right now, but I want you with Riri,’” A$AP Rocky recalled.
The “Helicopter” rapper continued, “I used to be like, ‘Ma why you keep saying that? That girl don’t even want me like that. Like be cool, Ma. Like that’s just my friend. Chill.”
Nevertheless, his mother persisted, telling him, “I’m telling you, she real.”
“And mothers know best,” he added.
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna officially started dating in late 2019 and have been loving life with their own little family.
He went on to admit that he’s still in awe of how it feels as if he and Rihanna were always meant to be.
“It was just like we were on the same page,” A$AP Rocky explained. “Born the same year. My dad is from her country. My family, when I go back, I get to see both sides of my family. It’s so many similarities, it’s just funny. We laugh about it a lot.”
Even before they became romantically involved, A$AP Rocky said his friendship with Rihanna felt different.
“She was always my boo, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “Like I always f–ked with her.”
Despite knowing where they are now, A$AP Rocky said he wouldn’t go back and change a thing about his relationship with Rihanna.
“I’m thankful that she was put in my life at that time, because I think any time prior to that, I don’t think I was ready for something like that,” he shared. “I don’t think she was either.”
In another recent interview, A$AP Rocky fueled more marriage rumors when he called himself a “loving husband.”
