Justin Baldoni's Lawyer Reacts to Dropping Blake Lively Defamation Lawsuit, Explains 'Missing Deadline' to Refile
Justin Baldoni‘s lawyer is speaking out following the latest update in the It Ends With Us legal battle.
The 41-year-old actor and filmmaker’s $400 defamation and extortion lawsuit against co-star Blake Lively was officially ended last week after failing to meet the deadline to amend the claims and refile. Previously, the case was dismissed by the judge.

“The truth regarding this case continuously and completely gets distorted in the media,” he shared in a statement with People.
“Even something as simple as a procedural update has resulted in a total mischaracterization,” he continued. “At this point, we have to set the record straight: no deadlines were missed. Our clients chose not to amend their complaint to preserve appeal rights.”
“In the meantime, we are focusing on Ms. Lively’s claims. We remain fully committed to pursuing the truth through every legal and factual avenue available and look forward to our day in court,” Bryan concluded.
Last month, Blake‘s lawyer released a statement on Justin‘s team’s auto-deleted messages amid the lawsuit.
