Grimm is getting a reboot.
The 2011 NBC supernatural series, which ran for six seasons on the network, is coming back as a movie being developed by Peacock, via Deadline.
Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman is writing the new version and executive producing with the original series’ creative team.

The plot is being kept under wraps, but “it is believed to have ties to the series for diehard fans but could also be easily accessed by new viewers not familiar with the original mythology as it introduces new mythology and characters.”
If it is successful, it could lead to the launch of a franchise according to the report.
The original TV series followed Portland Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), who discovered he is a Grimm, the latest in a line of guardians who are sworn to keep the balance between humanity and mythological creatures.
