Sebastian Stan is a winner!
The 42-year-old actor won the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in A Different Man at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
In his acceptance speech, Sebastian admitted that the movie was “not an easy” to make.
Keep reading to find out more…“Our ignorance and discomfort around disability and disfigurement has to end now,” Sebastian said. “We have to normalize it and continue to expose ourselves to it and our children encourage acceptance. One way we can do that is by continuing to champion stories that are inclusive.”
Sebastian also gave girlfriend Annabelle Wallis a sweet shout-out, saying, “Annabelle, I love you.”
He concluded his speech by saying, “This is for my mom, who left Romania in search of a better life, gave me everything, and for my stepfather, Tony, who took on a single mom and a grown-up kid. Thank you for being a real man.”
Shortly after Sebastian won, his The Falcon and the Winter Soldier co-star Anthony Mackie appeared on stage to present alongside Harrison Ford.
Before announcing the nominations, Anthony, 46, congratulated Sebastian on his win.
“We’re still friends with Sebastian Stan, by the way,” Anthony said before putting his hands together in the shape of a heart for his longtime pal.
Sebastian was nominated alongside Jesse Eisenberg for A Real Pain, Hugh Grant for Heretic, Gabriel LaBelle for Saturday Night, Jesse Plemons for Kinds of Kindness and Glen Powell for Hit Man.
