Joel Kinnaman is speaking out in response to speculation that he could be joining the cast of Peacemaker for the upcoming second season.
The series is a spin-off of the 2021 DC Comics movie The Suicide Squad, in which Joel played the role Rick Flag. While John Cena reprised his role, most other cast members did not appear in the Max series.
Fans began speculating that Joel will appear in season two after director Peter Sollett tagged him in a season two wrap post. The tag was quickly deleted.

“I don’t know what to say. That’s ridiculous. I would never. I would never be on a show like that. It’s not what I do. It’s not what I do,” Joel told Screen Rant.
