Ron Hale, an actor that General Hospital fans will remember as Mike Corbin, has sadly passed away.
According to reporting by Deadline, the actor died at the age of 78 on August 27 in St. George, South Carolina.

Ron made his General Hospital debut in 1995 and stayed with the beloved sudser until 2010. He also appeared in the spinoff series Port Charles in 1997. His character was the father of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
The actor also appeared on Ryan’s Hope in the ’70s and ’80s. He received multiple Daytime Emmy nominations for his portrayal of Dr. Roger Coleridge on the show.
“It’s with a heavy heart that we’ve lost another great one. My dear friend Ron Hale has passed away. Ron was an amazing talent and an even better friend. I will miss you,” General Hospital and Days of Our Lives alum Billy Warlock wrote in a tribute on X (formerly Twitter).
