Chappell Roan has canceled more concert dates.
The 26-year-old “Good Luck Babe” faced backlash when she recently canceled some shows in Europe, seemingly to fit in a performance at the MTV VMAs earlier this month. Now, Chappell has canceled more appearances for her mental health.
Chappell was scheduled to appear at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City on Saturday (September 28) and in DC on Sunday (September 29). She took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to announce that she won’t be doing either show.

“I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it,” Chappell said. “I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox.”
Chappell has been wrapped up in controversy this week over her political comments. She first received backlash for saying that she wouldn’t endorse either candidate in the U.S. presidential election, but then clarified that she isn’t voting for Trump.
In another public statement, Chappell said people were continuing to skew her words and let people know that she would be voting for Harris, even though she doesn’t support all of the policies on the left.
