“I mean, I used to know him when he was a bartender at … Cafe Central,” Drew added, as Demi said the name of the New York City spot at the same time.
“I’ve known him my whole life, too … how is he right now?” Drew then asked.
Demi responded by saying that “given the givens, he is in a stable place.”
“What I say to my kids is you meet them where they’re at. You don’t hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment,” Demi shared. “And from that, there is such beauty and joy and loving and sweetness.”
“When I’m in L.A., I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share,” she added.
Demi and Bruce were married from 1987 to 2000 and have remained very close as they co-parented their three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Bruce is also dad to daughters Mabel and Evelyn with wife Emma, whom he married in 2009.
Rumer also recently shared an update on how Bruce is doing.
