The 24-year-old actress is married to director Steven Piet and we have all the details on their relationship, as well as their two weddings that took place in 2023.

Joey and Steven met on the set of The Act back in 2018. She starred in the Hulu limited series and earned an Emmy nomination for her performance while he directed two episodes and served as co-executive producer.
The couple got engaged on February 2, 2022 (2/2/22), which happened to be their third anniversary, and then tied the knot in summer 2023.
Joey and Steven first got married in a legal ceremony in Los Angeles in August and then tied the knot in front of friends and family in Mallorca, Spain in September.
“Steven and I legally had to get married in the states before our September wedding in Mallorca,” Joey revealed on Instagram. “Obviously we wanted it to be a bit of a party. So we got some sickeningly hot outfits, gathered family (my mom made me a bouquet from the dollar store), hit up a place called Same Day Marriage in Los Angeles, and went bowling and partied.”

The couple’s Spain wedding took place at the sprawling private estate La Fortaleza, which has been used as a filming location for shows like The Night Manager and Lioness. The intimate affair was attended by 100+ of Joey and Steven’s closest friends and family, including a star-studded group of guests – former co-stars Zach Braff, Michelle Williams, Patricia Arquette and Logan Lerman. So, who is Steven Piet?
He’s an accomplished director who made his debut with the indie film Uncle John back in 2015. He has since directed episodes of TV shows like The Act, Channel Zero, Briarpatch, and A Friend of the Family.
Steven grew up in Chicago and went to college at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

“We work really well together. We also just really love spending time together. So getting to do something where we’re both doing what we love and we get to hang out with each other, [that's] the best. I think he’s so talented. He thinks the same about me. We really love just being able to put our minds together,” Joey told Allure.
