Nope, a sequel to Goonies is not happening right now.
Rumors began swirling last week after The Sun reported that the original cast would return for a sequel.
“The plan is to start developing the ideas for the follow up next summer, with a possible release date of 2026 or 2027,” the source said.
Well, multiple cast members are now speaking out to shoot down the report.

There was previously a sequel update back in 2014.
