Can you believe that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have never met until now?
The two presidential candidates shook hands upon meeting for the first time on the stage at the ABC News-Hosted Presidential Debate on Tuesday (September 10) at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Penn.
While Trump walked directly to his podium and seemingly tried to avoid greeting his opponent, Harris walked right up to him to make sure they would shake hands.
“Kamala Harris,” she said to him as he replied, “Nice to see you.”

The debate will last 90 minutes with two commercial breaks and ABC News has selected two moderators who are the only people asking questions. There is no audience and candidates are required to stand behind their podiums for the duration of the debate. No pre-written notes are allowed on stage, but candidates are given a pen and a pad of paper to take notes during the debate. Microphones are only live when it is their turn to speak and candidates are not allowed to ask each other questions.
