Sabrina Carpenter is spending a second week at the top spot on the Billboard 200 as Travis Scott‘s label claims that he was robbed from a No. 1 debut.
If you were unaware, the 25-year-old pop star claimed the pinnacle position on Billboard’s album chart last week after a very tight race with Travis, who released an anniversary edition of his mixtape Days Before Rodeo. The final tally put them within 1,000 equivalent units of each other.
On Monday (September 9), Billboard reported that Sabrina‘s album held strong at the top position in its second week of tracking.
Over the weekend, a letter from Travis‘ label Cactus Jack Records to Billboard and Luminate (the company responsible for figuring out Billboard’s chart data) went viral and claimed that he actually beat Sabrina in their first week.

Vulture reported on the letter, noting that it called the tabulation system “unreliable and incomplete.” The label alleged that “about 1000 units” of sales for Days Before Rodeo were not included in the final tabulation.
“This was never about Travis versus Sabrina — it’s about the integrity of the process and the questionable tactics used in U.S. charting,” a rep for the rapper said in a statement shared with Rolling Stone. “This could happen to any artist.”
A representative for Luminate told Vulture that they were “confident that our numbers are correct in accordance with our processes and methodology,” and a rep for Billboard told Rolling Stone that the company “stand[s] behind our chart data and methodology.”
Travis‘ album has dropped out of the Top 10 of the Billboard chart in its second week.
