Donald Trump‘s campaign is facing it’s second battle over unauthorized use of music within a week.
On Friday (August 23), the Presidential candidate’s rally in Glendale, Ariz., played the Foo Fighters‘ “My Hero” as he introduced Robert F Kennedy Jr to the stage, shortly after the independent candidate formally dropped out of the race and endorsed him.
After they were asked on X if they gave permission to use their song, the Foo Fighters account simply stated, “No.”
While speaking of the song’s usage, a spokesperson for the band noted that they will be seeking appropriate actions, but that’s not all.

“Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were, they would not have granted it,” the spokesperson told Billboard, adding that “appropriate actions are being taken.”
In addition, any royalties they receive from the unauthorized usage by the Trump campaign will be donated to his direct opponent, Kamala Harris‘ campaign!
Earlier this week, Beyonce also threatened the Trump campaign over the same thing, unauthorized use of her music. She has granted permission to Kamala Harris, though, to use her song “Freedom.”
Last week, Trump‘s campaign was hit with another lawsuit, once again, for not seeking permission before using a song.
