CBS News is hosting the Vice Presidential Debate between Senator JD Vance and Governor Tim Walz on Tuesday (October 1).
Both candidates accepted the invitation, and the debate will take place live from New York City that night.
The issue is that several TV shows were set to premiere on October 1 across various networks. Now, we’re learning of changes that are happening as a result.

Fox – SCHEDULE CHANGE CONFIRMED
On October 1, 2024, season 2 of the fan favorite anthology series Accused was supposed to premiere.
According to TV Line, Fox is pushing back the show’s season 2 premiere to Tuesday (October 8) at 8pm ET.
However, the second episode of Murder in a Small Town, Kristin Kreuk‘s new show, is still on for that night. The series will premiere on September 24, and air it’s second episode at 8pm on October 1, which will lead into the debate in the 9 o’clock hour.
NBC – SCHEDULE CHANGE CONFIRMED
The Irrational season two was supposed to premiere at 10pm ET on Tuesday (October 1), but will now debut on Tuesday (October 8) at 10pm ET instead.
ABC – SCHEDULE CHANGE UNCLEAR
A new episode of Dancing with the Stars is supposed to air on ABC on Tuesday (October 1). It’s unclear at this time if any schedule changes will happen.
The CW – SCHEDULE NOT CHANGING
As of right now, The CW will air a live episode of WWE NXT on Tuesday (October 1), competing with the debate.
