The former presidents have never seen eye-to-eye and Trump rarely has anything nice to say about the Democrats, but he made some surprising comments about Obama in a new interview.
Ahead of Barack and Michelle‘s speech at the Democratic National Convention this week, Trump shared his thoughts on the former president and former first lady.

“I like him. I think he’s a nice gentleman, but he was very weak on trade. If you take a look at what happened to our country trade-wise, it was a disaster,” Trump told CNN. “I happen to like him. I respect him and I respect his wife.”
Trump has often promoted the birtherism conspiracy theories about Obama.
