The 2024 Democratic National Convention is about to kick off!
The event starts on Monday (August 19), running through Thursday (August 22) at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.
During the event, several celebrities will be appearing at the rally to show support for Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz‘s 2024 Presidential campaign.
50,000 visitors are expected to come to Chicago for the event, including 5,000 delegates and alternates and 15,000 members of the media.
Ahead of the DNC, four celebrities were just announced to be hosting the festivities – find out who they are!

There are over 100 events happening, with confirmed attendees throughout the week including John Legend, Jon Stewart, Billy Porter, Joan Jett, Octavia Spencer, DJ D-Nice, Lil Jon and stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Creative Coalition, led by Robin Bronk, has also confirmed details for a series of events, including Uzo Aduba, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Anthony Anderson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Busy Philipps, Jon Cryer, David Cross, Yolonda Ross, Iain Armitage, Chris Witaske and Danai Gurira.
THR confirmed that Connie Britton is likely attend, and a source says Don Cheadle may also be in attendance.
Others expected at the convention include CAA’s Bryan Lourd, NBCUniversal Studio Group chairman and chief content officer Donna Langley, screenwriter Billy Ray, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Murphy.
Creative Coalition’s benefit gala concert, co-hosted by Octavia Spencer, is set to include Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Drive-By Truckers and SistaStrings.
John Legend is headlining a show at Salt Shed for Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and the Equality PAC will present a party featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Chad Michaels, Silky Nutmeg Ganache and Jackie Cox.
Billy Porter will appear and perform at a luncheon for Nancy Pelosi. LGBTQ+ Victory Institute’s DNC event, Victory at the DNC, will feature Pete Buttigieg, Zachary Quinto, Dana Goldberg, Wilson Cruz and president and CEO Annise Parker.
