Melissa McCarthy responded to an idea for a sequel to one of her most critically acclaimed movies, and she’s totally down!
The 53-year-old actress took to social media on Saturday (August 10) to share a fan’s proposal for an Olympics-themed continuation to one of her movies. Her response made it very clear that she was ready and willing to hear more.

The movie in question is 2015′s Spy, which she starred in with Jason Statham, Rose Byrne and Miranda Hart.
With a 95% rating and a 78% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is one of her most beloved amongst fans and critics alike.
On her Instagram story, she shared an idea for a sequel to the movie: “Need a SPY 2 where Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham go undercover as Olympics breakdancers from a made-up country,” a fan wrote.
Her response? “Ummm YES PLEASE!!!!”
We’re also totally down for the idea if anyone’s wondering.
The idea comes shortly after a breakdancer went viral for their performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
