Britney Spears is weighing in on Blake Lively buying and re-wearing her iconic rainbow butterfly dress.
Earlier this week, the 36-year-old actress wore the Versace gown on the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie It Ends With Us. She also shared a tribute to the 42-year-old “Toxic” superstar on social media.
On Saturday (August 10), Britney finally shared her response to the look. Meanwhile, a report shed light on how much Blake paid for the gown and if this was a possible hint about casting for the pop star’s forthcoming biopic.

Taking to Instagram, Britney shared a video of herself posing in a bedazzled minidress that was similar to the original gown.
“Updated version of my 2002 Versace dress ???? !!! I’m no @blakelively but I like it … show my legs ????????????????????,” she wrote in the caption.
An insider told TMZ that Britney was “very flattered” and thought that Blake “looked adorable.”
However, the outlet noted that this is not a hint that Blake will portray Britney in the movie. In fact, casting reportedly hasn’t even come up yet!
Sources close to Blake told TMZ that she paid just over $10,000 for the gown, which she purchased at Tab Vintage six months ago. She did not make any major alternations, either.
