Nick Viall finally made his thoughts known about Rachel Lindsay’s ex-husband, Bryan Abasolo.
The 43-year-old star of The Bachelor went on record on his podcast, The Viall Files, and expressed his feelings about how Bryan has been handling his divorce from former The Bachelorette star, Rachel Lindsay.
On Tuesday (August 6), a new episode of Nick’s podcast was released where the topic of Rachel’s divorce came up. Until now, Nick has kept quiet, but it became very clear, very quickly that he wasn’t doing that anymore.

“It’s getting messy. I didn’t really want to talk about this because out of respect for my friend Rachel,” the podcast host explained about his relationship with the previous Bachelorette.
Not only was Rachel a Bachelorette in her own rite, but Nick was also the lead of his own season of The Bachelor. Rachel was originally a contestant on his season, but eventually went on to be the franchise’s first black Bachelorette during season 13!
At the end of her season, Rachel chose Bryan and the two were married for four years before Bryan filed for divorce in January 2024. Considering Nick and Rachel are still friends, Nick had some thoughts.
“I understand that Bryan, Rachel Lindsay’s ex-husband, has simply just taken advantage of the very outdated legal system and laws around marriage, sure,” Nick spoke honestly. “But it doesn’t stop me from thinking something about you.”
There doesn’t seem to be any kind of secret on Nick’s feelings about Rachel’s ex husband. The previous Bachelor even went on to address Bryan on the podcast, asking him to, “have some respect for yourself and your once ex-wife.”
According to Nick, Bryan was successful before he even went on The Bachelorette, “Then he got married to Rachel, and all Rachel did was make him more famous, gave him a huge platform.” The host of the podcast said frankly before continuing with his opinions of Bryan, “Either he’s unmotivated or not smart enough, but like Rachel gave him everything in the possible world to become something of your practice or anything else.”
If those words weren’t clear enough on Nick’s feelings about Bryan, don’t worry because he decided to make it quite clear how he truly felt, “I really don’t know the guy. All I know about him is everything I’m seeing in the press. Break up with grace, move on with your life. It didn’t work out,” Nick commented after reading court documents regarding their divorce. “You sound like a loser, Bryan.”
Recently, Rachel even opened up about being ‘weirded out’ by Bryan’s initial proposal.
