Disney kicked off it’s annual D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Friday (August 9) in Anaheim, Calif.
The annual event held each year features and more, and this year’s event was no exception!
On Friday, the company held it’s Disney Entertainment Showcase, bringing out surprise celebrity appearances, film and television announcements, trailer reveals and even live performances, teasing what’s to come from Disney’s multiple film and television branches, from Disney Studios to Marvel, Star Wars to Pixar and 20th Century Studios.
CEO Bob Iger started the evening off thanking fans.
“Our deep bond with fans, forged over a century of storytelling, is stronger today than ever before,” he said on stage. “Driven by the unmatched strength of our creative studios, the wide appeal of our brands and franchises, and the innovative ways that we bring our stories to life in our theme parks and experiences.”
