House of the Dragon is facing a substantial leak.
Several scenes from the Season 2 finale of the HBO series, which isn’t scheduled to air until August 4, just leaked onto TikTok on Tuesday night (July 30), well before the episode arrives on the network and Max.
The videos already had accumulated 50,000 to 100,000 views before the TikTok account was banned, but the videos have made their way onto other social media platforms.

“We are aware that clips from the House of the Dragon season finale have surfaced across social media platforms,” HBO said in a statement on Wednesday (July 31), via Variety.
“The clips were posted after an unintentional release from an international third-party distributor. HBO is aggressively monitoring and removing clips from the internet, and fans can watch the episode in its entirety this Sunday night on HBO and Max.”
This isn’t the first time it’s happened: the Season 1 finale leaked online two days before its air date in October 2022, and also reportedly came from a distribution partner in Europe, the Middle East or Africa, according to HBO at the time.
HBO had tried to fight the leak of Season 2 finale by not sending screeners of the finale to journalists, but it unfortunately happened anyway.
The official streaming ratings for the show have been revealed, and the numbers are very good.
