Neve Campbell revealed new details about the upcoming Scream VII while promoting her new film Swan Song.
The 50-year-old actress was spotted attending a screening of the new documentary Swan Song and doing an interview on Good Morning America on Tuesday (July 30) in New York City.
Neve is an executive producer for Swan Song and while promoting the film, she was of course asked if she could share anything new about Scream VII.

“We are going to follow Sidney. They did pitch the concept to me, and it’s the reason that I jumped on board,” the actress revealed to Entertainment Tonight. This comes as a major shift from the past two Scream movies, which followed the Carpenter sisters instead of the iconic Sidney Prescott.
Like many other actors, Neve is still surprised by just how popular the Scream franchise is. “I love these movies, they are so much fun to be a part of, I’m so grateful for them, I could never have imagined being a part of a movie that would have lasted this many decades,” she explained her excitement.
While Neve was absent from Scream VI, she says it’s because she felt undervalued. Scream VII though will hopefully prove just how valued and needed Neve as Sidney Prescott is.
Right now, Neve Campbell is the only confirmed returning actor for Scream VII, but hopefully more will be revealed in the coming months!
