Nottingham Forest have now ‘practically ruled out’ signing Corinthians winger Wesley Gassova due to their capture of Jota Silva and likely capture of Ramon Sosa.
The Tricky Trees have been very busy this summer in the transfer window and they have made several signings for their forward positions.
They recently secured Silva from Vitoria Guimaraes and have reached a verbal agreement with Talleres for their Paraguayan winger Sosa.
Forest have also been working on signing Corinthians winger Wesley, who was linked with West Ham as well, but the Hammers are set to land Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United.
It was also suggested that the Tricky Trees submitted a total €21m package for Wesley in recent days which fell short of the Brazilian club’s valuation of the player.
However, according to Brazilian outlet UOL, Nottingham Forest have now ‘practically ruled out’ signing Wesley.
Wesley has been an important player for Corinthians this season at the age of only 19, where he played 42 times for them, making nine-goal contributions in the process.
Corinthians are prepared to do business, but only for the right price, and all eyes will be on whether other Premier League clubs now step into the void.
