West Ham United and Manchester United have ‘positivity’ about a deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka happening, according to talkSPORT.
The two clubs have been holding talks about Wan-Bissaka making the move to the London Stadium this summer, but they have been far from straightforward.
Issues over a fee are closer to being resolved, despite a gap remaining, while personal terms could be an issue.
It has been suggested that West Ham want Manchester United to give Wan-Bissaka a payoff to smooth the deal going through.
Despite the issues, there is ‘positivity’ on both sides that the deal will eventually happen.
Wan-Bissaka is inside the final year of his contract at Manchester United and would be able to move as a free agent next summer if he sees it out.
Manchester United would prefer to move him on now though as they make room for Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui.
Landing Wan-Bissaka has been West Ham’s priority in the position this summer and they may well be able to get him in through the door.
