Newcastle United will be scooping up a Nottingham Forest player as part of the deal for Elliot Anderson, according to the Daily Mail.
With PSR considerations uppermost in their mind, Newcastle have agreed to sell midfielder Anderson to Nottingham Forest.
The player would have preferred to stay at St James’ Park, but is happy with the terms on offer at the City Ground and will make the move.
Forest are paying in the region of £35m for Anderson and it was thought to be a straight sale, involving no other players.
Now however it has been claimed that Nottingham Forest will send a player in the other direction.
The identity of the player who will be making the opposite journey has yet to emerge, as has how they will impact the value of the overall transfer.
Newcastle had been discussing Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga, but the Tricky Trees were not keen on losing the former Manchester United man.
All eyes will be on who the player is that will be added to Eddie Howe’s squad before tonight’s PSR deadline.
