In the last five years, Odisha reported 572 alleged rape cases involving tribal women and girls, with chargesheets filed in 509 instances. Only 32 cases have been resolved so far. Activists emphasize the need for quicker trials and stricter actions to prevent such crimes and ensure safety for girl students in residential schools.
