The Nittany Lions had a 10-3 record a season ago, and they lost the Peach Bowl. Their offense averaged 36.2 points per game (12th in the nation), while their defense allowed 13.5 (third). The Mountaineers’ 2023 season ended with a win at the Duke’s Mayo Bowl after a 9-4 record. They averaged 31.5 points per game (39th in college football) and gave up 26.2 per contest (64th).
