A’ja Wilson openly admitted she had a horrible shooting day against the Chicago Sky, and her tweet about her stat line is the funniest thing.
The Aces-Sky matchup is officially on the season’s best games list. (It was soo good that Dawn Staley was even tweeting about it.) There was a Chennedy Carter clutch basket to tie up the score with just seconds remaining. But an even better, epic game-winning basket by Wilson that could only have been sent by the basketball gods.
A’ja seemingly knows that because, in all fairness, the matchup was rough for her. She still managed a gnarly 20 points and 18 rebounds stat line, but it came on an ugly 8-for-28 shooting outing. Why? The rest of the Aces struggled for a huge portion of the first half, and she was trying her hardest to make up for it. Thankfully, A’ja took it all in stride and hilariously acknowledged she had a ton of bricks Sunday by seemingly trolling herself. Well-played, A’ja.
