Former NFL all-pro kick returner and Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl champion Jacoby Jones has died at age 40, the Ravens said Sunday.
A third-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2007, Jones enjoyed a nine-year career in the NFL as a dynamic kick returner and speedy wide receiver.
Though he spent five years in Houston, many fans will remember him for his three years in Baltimore and heroics during their 2013 Super Bowl run. Specifically, Jones was on the receiving end of the “Mile High Miracle” from Joe Flacco, which catapulted the Ravens past the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional playoffs. And he also had two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers in that year’s Super Bowl, including a 108-yard kickoff return to start the second half.
Below are a few photos of these iconic moments in Ravens lore and a player fans will always remember.
