'We want to add ecocide to the list of international crimes': Head of Stop Ecocide International

The head of Stop Ecocide International has spoke to FRANCE 24 from the UN Ocean Conference in the south of France about the need to legally recognise crimes against the environment as serious crimes. Jojo Mehta jointly founded the organisation back in 2017 with the aim of using the law to make destructive practices illegal. More arrests after third night of unrest in N. Ireland town

The three days of clashes in Ballymena erupted on Monday night after two teenagers were arrested for an alleged attempted rape of a young girl at the weekend. Police have not confirmed the ethnicity of the teenagers, who remain in custody and had asked for a Romanian interpreter in court. Flames and smoke in aftermath of crashed India passenger jet

Several videos posted on social media, which AFP was not able to immediately verify, showed an aircraft rapidly losing altitude -- with its nose up -- before it hit a building and exploded into an orange ball of fire. An AFP reporter in the city said the plane crashed in an area between a hospital and the city’s Ghoda Camp neighbourhood. Ryanair says will fine 'disruptive passengers' 500 euros

Europe's biggest airline by passenger numbers has previously hit out at "unruly" behaviour caused by travellers consuming excessive amounts of alcohol while waiting to board delayed flights. John Lennon love letter bemoaning Paul's snoring goes on sale

The 21-year old Lennon wrote the letter over five nights in April 1962, during the Beatles' residency at the Star-Club in Hamburg.
