A suspected human metapneumovirus (HMPV) case involving an eight-year-old boy has been reported in Himatnagar, Gujarat. His blood sample has been sent for government confirmation after a private lab's positive test. Isolation wards have been established in major civil hospitals across Gujarat, following the state's first confirmed HMPV case in an infant.
