Nine RSS workers were given life imprisonment for the 2005 murder of a CPI(M) worker in Thalassery, Kerala. The court found them guilty of several offenses including murder, attempted murder, and rioting. One of the accused had already died. The sentencing follows a period of political tension in the area at that time.
